Proangiogenic activity in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from patients with asthma.

Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid collected from subjects with asthma but not healthy subjects is functionally active in promoting angiogenesis in vitro. The proangiogenic capacity of BALF samples was investigated using the in vitro AngioKit assay and analysed with the AngioSys software.

The therapeutic potential of a series of orally bioavailable anti-angiogenic microtubule disruptors as therapy for hormone-independent prostate and breast cancers.
